Picks of the Week: 7/4/12

Avengers Vs X-men #7: Cyclops decides the Avengers are in the way of turning the Earth into Utopia and makes the order “No More Avengers!” With the Scarlet Witch their ace in the hole, do the Avengers stand a chance by five Phoenix powered X-men? Writer James Robinson and artist Philip Tan team-up for this stellar story!

Animal Man #11: Buddy Baker fights to get back to his family and but needs a new body to do so. The final chapter in the Extinction Is Forever storyline turns Buddy into a real Animal Man as the next chapter begins here!

Action Comics #11: Superman’s new secret? Lois Lane investigates the mystery of Earth’s first Superman? All those story threads are explored here in Grant Morrison’s Action Comics! Plus, Sholly Fisch’s backup story centers on the origin and making of Superman’s “S” shirt! Good reading!
