Review: Superman Family Adventures #1

Tiny Titan creators Art Baltazar and Franco return to the fun all ages DC Universe they created to tell the adventures of the world’s greatest superhero in Superman Family Adventures.

Baltazar and Franco take on the Man of Steel is an amalgam of everything from the classic 60s stories with the talking super animals, the movie inspired 80s that can be seen in Lois and Jimmy’s character design, to the current New 52 era that can be seen in Supes costume.

Similar to their work on Tiny Titans the book is very kid friendly, with simple to read stories and pages. But don’t let the kid friendly artwork fool you, the dialogue and art is chalk full of inside jokes poking fun at the mainstream DC Universe. Not to mention character cameos by DC Publisher Dan Didio as well as Baltazar and Franco.

Superman family adventures is a fun adventure book, a great starter book for kids of all ages, including the kid’s at heart.
