Alright so that headline was misleading but this is still exciting news. It looks like Mark Waid will be bringing 60s pop culture icons Emma Peel and John Steed, better known as the spy duo The Avengers (not the Disney one), to the present with a new series.
Boom has yet to release any details about the project other then this teaser image, but it does appear the stage was set for this with the recent re-release of the classic Avengers Mini series by Grant Morrison.
